Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from your Google profile.
Learning data. We record your lesson progress, quiz scores, and achievements to track your learning journey and display your progress on the dashboard.
AI tutor conversations. When you use the AI tutor, we process the messages you send in order to generate responses. Conversation content may be temporarily stored to maintain context within a session.
Usage data. We automatically collect basic usage information such as pages visited and general interaction patterns to help us improve the platform.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain your account
- Track your lesson progress and quiz scores
- Power the AI tutor to answer your rocket science questions
- Display leaderboards and achievement badges
- Improve our educational content and platform experience
- Respond to your inquiries and support requests
3. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party services to operate:
- Supabase provides our authentication system and database hosting. Your account data and learning progress are stored in Supabase's infrastructure.
- Google OAuth is available as a sign-in option. If you choose to sign in with Google, your authentication is handled by Google's identity services.
- Google Gemini AI powers the AI tutor feature. Messages you send to the AI tutor are processed by Google's Gemini API to generate responses.

4. Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies and browser local storage for essential functions such as keeping you signed in and remembering your preferences. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and our database is hosted on Supabase's secure infrastructure with row-level security policies. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Children's Privacy
Max Apogee is an educational platform, but it is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account data and learning progress for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon receiving a deletion request, we will remove your personal information from our systems within 30 days.
8. No Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Max Apogee learning experience.
